Third 80 Metre Bilgin 263 Superyacht Begins Outfitting
by Miranda Blazeby
The third hull in Bilgin’s 80 metre 263 series has now arrived at the Turkish yard’s West Istanbul marina to begin outfitting.
It comes after the first hull in the series, now named Tatiana, launched late last month. Tatiana is now the joint longest superyacht ever built in Turkey.
Built on spec and on schedule for delivery in 2022, the third 263 superyacht shares the same platform as Tatiana and the second Bilgin 263.
However, while they look similar, the third hull features a number of differences, which includes a completely new interior layout with larger living areas. Elsewhere, the Bigin 263 features an “aggressive look” with a “sleek profile.”
Chief executive and founder of Unique Yacht Design, Emrecan ?zgün, described the Bilgin 263 as “truly one-of-a-kind.”
“The increase in living areas normally results in bulky designs. The Bilgin 263 has a design attitude that will dominate the yachting sector around the world. This will clearly make her a trend setter among steel-aluminium superyachts of today,” he added.
Other features on board the Bilgin 263 include a large spa area at the aft beach club and an interior decorated in a “light but rich palette.”
?zgün said “customer feedback” helped the yard optimise the third hull in the series. Changes include increased window volumes, a larger aft section on the top deck and an enlarged aft section of the upper deck. The Jacuzzi too, which sits aft on the first two hulls, now sits on the main deck with a waterfall falling from the upper deck.
Elsewhere, the owner’s cabin has been moved to the front of the upper deck and the inclusion of the glass surrounded lift from the top deck to the lower deck.
Complying with IMO Tier III certification, the third Bilgin 263 will have a top speed of 20 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots.
